The Shin Saver is used to mount the Towtector in applications where a ball mount isn't necessary (RV's, 5th wheels etc). The Towtector mounts to the Shin Saver just as it would to a ball mount tube - making a protruding ball mount unnecessary and helping you to avoid needless injury from trips and bumps.
